Throughout my career working with hundreds of customers, many acquisition targets and a myriad of business partners, I have seen how corporate culture defines a company. Dennis has nailed it with this book. Some corporate culture is formed without any conscious thought as to what that should be. A toxic culture, which results from certain common management styles many of us have experienced, will result in inefficiencies throughout the core of a company, often dooming it to the scrapyard of corporate mediocrity. Inversely, as Dennis demonstrates through his descriptive examples, a positive, caring culture will result in a healthier, more profitable and importantly, a more sustainable entity. And, as he points out, it’s also a lot easier and ‘way more fun. This book is a must read.

I'm proud to add this one to my library!

Very impressed and inspired. I do my best to follow the same approach Dennis talks about in my business and life. This book will be very helpful in continuing to learn how to make my employees happy, inspired and productive in a way that many companies will never experience. I will make it required reading for my leadership team and I know they will embrace the direction it can take my company. As owners, we have a responsibility to help our staff meet their dreams. This book outlines some great action items that can help us not only understand the importance on our culture but what steps are needed to grow the culture with purpose. The summation of stats at the end really show that, above anything else how we treat our team changes the game. I have read thousands of books and I'm proud to add this one to my library! I can’t wait for an opportunity to attend one of the authors speaking engagements.

What does skiing and corporate culture have in common?  Well, if you ever get a chance to hear Dennis Ford speak you’ll learn the parallels between sports and business.  Sometimes it’s not about being the best but it’s how you do it and more importantly how your customer perceives the service you are giving them.  Be it skiing or the business you’re in, culture is very hard to define but Dennis uses his real-world experiences to get you to relate on a first hand basis.  You’ll come away with a clearer understanding of what you need to do as a leader in your organization to effect change!

Amazing insights and easy to understand solutions.

Amazing insights and easy to understand solutions.

This book is an absolute MUST for anyone running an organization/company that has any employees. The author, Dennis Ford, cites that more than 80% of employees in the US are disengaged. That’s scary! A week ago I would have said that having a joyful yet productive company culture is an oxymoron. After reading this book I’m convinced that applying Dennis’ practical recommendations will create a more engaged culture in my business whilst increasing the bottom line. Thank you, Dennis, for your amazing insights and easy to understand solutions– I’m just sad that as a 3x business owner of 7 digit companies I didn’t find this book before, It would have saved me lots of $$$, anxiety and stress!

Loved It! This book is listed in the business and money section, but it so much more than that. It is a book about people. Finally, someone has put into writing what business has seemed to have forgotten, people are a companies most important resource. And a happy worker is a more productive worker. Dennis shares his years of experience with fun stories as well as facts and figures (but not too many of those). It is a delightful read which I believe should be experienced by all.

Happy employees are a great way to improve profits.

Happy employees are a great way to improve profits.

Right on Dennis. Our co. "Tauber Electronics" had the best health-care, pension plan, and profit sharing plan than any of our competition. We were still able to compete and win 85% of the contracts that we bid on. Never lost an employee, but had a waiting list of those who wanted to be hired. The result was faster more efficient work with almost zero returns of mfg.roducts. Happy employees are a great way to improve profits. Required reading for the CEO of any size co.

Think of this as a self-help book for any business.

Think of this as a self-help book for any business.

While many entrepreneurs and established business leaders are focused on product or service sales, design, valuations, capital raises, and a myriad of issues facing them daily, few – to their peril - realize the importance, complexities, value, and steps necessary to nurture a proper company culture. Monetize Your Culture puts forth both the challenges and rewards of placing company culture at the forefront of one’s business plan, and provides a distinct and entertaining road map to avoid the pitfalls that too often result in company and employee failures. Think of this as a self-help book for any business. Excellent read.

Terrific read!

Terrific read!

While most companies give lip-service to the idea of supporting their employees, Dennis Ford tells readers how to do it -- and why. Through anecdotes, industry examples and a wealth of statistical measures, "Monetize Your Culture" describes how individual employee commitment and passion are the untapped secrets of business success. A positive workplace is more than a lovely accessory in the business world anymore: it is a key recruitment and retention tool, and the difference between productivity that reaches quarterly goals and productivity that pushes the envelope. This book is a useful road map for creating a culture change that can realize an organization's full potential. Terrific read!
