Throughout my career working with hundreds of customers, many acquisition targets and a myriad of business partners, I have seen how corporate culture defines a company. Dennis has nailed it with this book. Some corporate culture is formed without any conscious thought as to what that should be. A toxic culture, which results from certain common management styles many of us have experienced, will result in inefficiencies throughout the core of a company, often dooming it to the scrapyard of corporate mediocrity. Inversely, as Dennis demonstrates through his descriptive examples, a positive, caring culture will result in a healthier, more profitable and importantly, a more sustainable entity. And, as he points out, it’s also a lot easier and ‘way more fun. This book is a must read.
